The 3rd instrumental album by Toronto-based producer C-Sol aka Peso Pesado drops February 29th, 2024. The album title is ‘On Weaponized Time’ and the intro track features turntablist legend DJ Grouch.
DJ Grouch has solidified his OG status with a successful career spanning over 30 years. He has collaborated with artists such as Ghostface Killah, Pharoahe Monch, Slum Village, Obie Trice, Black Milk, UFO Fev, Maestro Fresh Wes, Saukrates, Kardinal Offishall, Choclair, Asun Eastwood, Jully Black and Melanie Durrant just to name a few. Throughout the 90s and 2000s he had his own show on CHRY 105.5 and was a part of Project Bounce. He remains active as a prominent DJ in Toronto, broadcasting live every Wednesday and Sunday on Twitch, also sharing his knowledge of the culture with younger generations as an instructor at the Trebas Institute, Regent Park School of Music and the Remix Project.

The Audio NFT ‘Amanda’ has dropped and is now available as a limited edition of ten on the C1 Auction House through Mintbase. Written and recorded by Dedeukwu of Nigeria and produced by C-Sol of Canada, the music-video collectible is the result of an international collaboration made possible by way of the Metaverse.
Thirty percent of the proceeds from this project will go to C1 Foundation in support of their charitable initiatives. The foundation which was co-founded by NFT Artist Dedeukwu is dedicated to raising awareness regarding the benefits of blockchain technology by helping creatives worldwide produce, mint and sell NFTs.
Amanda is the first collaboration between Dedeukwu and C-Sol. Both are active members of NxM, a collective of NFT artists, musicians and Web3 enthusiasts who share a passion for the development of opportunities for independent artists on the Blockchain.
The latest release by the Metaverse heavy-hitter known as Dedeukwu is entitled Amanda and drops December 15th. This Audio NFT collectible will be presented as a full-length music video, limited to 10 editions available exclusively through the Mintbase platform.
With a focus on educating younger generations about the opportunities available through blockchain technology, Dedeukwu is an active contributor to the NFT community having co-founded CTRL and C1 . The C1 Foundation is dedicated to helping creatives from around the world produce, mint and sell NFTs.
Amanda is also featured on the Near Mixtape which will be distributed by Beat Dao. This project is the first of its kind as every track featured on the mixtape will be presented as an Audio NFT. Artists featured on the mixtape make up a global collective representing Poland, Malaysia, France, Cameroon, Canada, Nigeria, Russia and Ireland. The Near Mixtape will be available this January.
The latest release by the Audio NFT Artist who goes by the name of Dedeukwu is set to drop December 15th on the Mintbase platform. Entitled Amanda, the track is a cool blend of Afrobeat, Ragga, Hip Hop and Soul in which he collaborated with Toronto Producer C-Sol.
After making waves in his native Nigeria, the ambitious Igbo artist/entrepreneur/visionary is making similar movements on the blockchain. With the success of his album ‘IKENGA’ which was released early 2021, he decided that moving forward, he would only release albums as NFTs as part of his on going mission to onboard one million Africans.
He describes his sound as being fully African Igbo, referring to the style of music as Afribo. He sites artists like Burna Boy, Flavour and Umu Obiligbo for his local musical influences while gaining mainstream inspiration from artists like Popcaan, Shaggy and Damian Marley.
Having recently partnered with the Blockchain Club of Nigeria inside the Lagos State University, Dedeukwu was there to onboard students, teaching them about NFTs and the opportunities that exist within the blockchain. He plans to continue promoting the benefits of NFTs and blockchain technology within his community.
Amanda drops December 15th and will be presented a full-length music video collectible. The Audio NFT will be limited to 10 editions. The track will also be featured on the Near Mixtape which was produced by Beat Dao and drops this January.
The ‘Do The Math’ NFT collectible is now available through Mintbase on the Near protocol. This ground-breaking Audio NFT is the first to bring dubplates to the blockchain. ‘Do The Math’ is a uniquely immersive body of work, blending positive, hard-hitting Hip Hop with 360 Still Motion (an audiovisual style developed/implemented by Symbolik) and 360 Virtual Reality video.
Prior to the release of the NFT, Symbolik presented supporters with an option to receive a personalized dubplate version of the ‘Do The Math’ NFT in which a handful of supporters were selected to receive customized dubplates. Those that received the personalized dubplates were NFT movers and shakers Black Dave, Kwame DarkMythst, Dedeukwu, Hanifah, Abi and Vandal.
Copies of the NFT from the first phase of this limited edition drop are still available. The ‘Do The Math’ Audio NFT will be released in three limited phases. The first phase is the still image Audio NFT, then the 360 Still Motion NFT and the third being the Video NFT.
Dropping this Friday, September 17th is the Audio NFT entitled Do The Math by Digital Creator/Emcee Symbolik and Producer C-Sol. In support of the Audio NFT, special incentives have been set up for members of the NFT community as a selected few will be gifted a personalized version of the collectible for their participation with the release. The collaboration between the Digital Creator/Emcee known as Symbolik and Producer C-Sol has resulted in an Audio NFT offering that fuses various artistic elements, bringing to life the collectible, all-original, digital, musical masterpiece entitled Do The Math.
The track is 3 minutes and 35 seconds of hard hitting, up-tempo boom-bap, coupled with intelligent word play as Symbolik delivers lyrical food for thought. Navigating an aggressive bassline, vibrant piano loops and bright, soothing synths he references the current state of the world and the parallels between that and the perceived decline in consciousness within Hip Hop culture.
The NFT drops September 17th and consists of the audio track, 360 Still Motion art and a full-length 360 video. This digital packaging of the audio NFT is unique as it provides collectors with various artistic, original visuals that compliment the music. 360 Still Motion is a treatment developed by Symbolik in which he takes a still image frame from his 360 video, processes it, creating a scrolling effect in which the image is in constant motion. There will also be limited personalized versions (dubplates) of the track which will be made available for a few lucky supporters. There will be 3 different NFT packages set up at various price points.
